Richard W. Benefield, PA-C
Richard W. Benefield is a Certified Physician Assistant with Atlanta Brain and Spine Care who provides direct patient care and assists in surgery under the direction of Dr. Michele M. Johnson.
Mr. Benefield is a Georgia native. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from The State University of West Georgia in 2001. He went on to earn his Master of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Physiology from The State University of West Georgia in 2004. He then earned his Master of Medical Science Degree from Emory University’s School of Medicine in 2008. During his academic career, Mr. Benefield was recognized as a Scholar Athlete, was inducted into the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and presented research at two separate National Conventions as a Graduate Research Assistant. He is an active member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Mr. Benefield is married to Erica and they have two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, and living an active lifestyle.
