Atlanta Brain and Spine Care welcomes the addition of a new surgeon to the practice. Dr. Mena G. Kerolus is a dual fellowship trained physician in both neurological and orthopedic spine surgery. Dr. Kerolus will provide specialized care for adults and children with scoliosis and spinal deformities. Having been trained in neurosurgery and orthopedic spine surgery, he is able to individualize surgery treatment options for his patients.
Dr. Kerolus also treats patients with cervical spine disorders including disc herniation and cervical stenosis. He has additional expertise in cervical motion preservation surgery including cervical disc arthroplasty. Dr. Kerolus’ research interests include minimally invasive spine techniques and robotic spine surgery. His passion is to help patients with spinal conditions return to enjoying life as safely as possible.
Professional affiliations for Dr. Kerolus include membership in the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Georgia Neurological Society, and North American Spine Society, where he was recently elected to serve on the National Coding Committee and Young Surgeon Committee. Dr. Kerolus’ personal interests include swimming, hiking, tennis, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
